What's sanja+?
This nonprofit association promotes social actions and projects to guide, encourage, motivate, defend, empower, integrate, care for, and include vulnerable, socially marginalized people. It also aims to promote cultural events and actions of incentive to preserve the environment.
The name:
sanja - Nickname often used by people from São José dos Campos to refer to the city. The name was chosen because of the gender swap, referencing the transgender community. In Portuguese, São José dos Campos would be a masculine name; however, when sanja is used, it becomes feminine.
mais (+) - Means plus in Portuguese, a reference to the association's mission to bring more education, representation, justice, and a more inclusive society.
Creating the logo:
It was essential to incorporate the concepts: Diversity, Direction, Progress and, most importantly, the + sign.
Variations & Applications:
It is crucial to keep the logo dynamic yet consistent. The lettering might change based on the background, but the symbol's colours are always the same.
Colour code:
sanja+ has different colours for each area of operation to facilitate identification.
